To those friends who might want to send me an email,
please send it as plain text, not as a web page.
There are two reasons for this request.
- First, sending it as a webpage, or as an attached
web page, is hugely redundant, and takes up to
three times the bandwidth of a plain text email.
To me this seems an obscene waste of resources.
- Second, my mailfilters will delete as spam any
email that contains in its body the html tags
that indicate a webpage. This has proved to be
an effective measure.
