The Nicomachus Centre

In Ajlun, near Jerash in Jordan, Othman Malhas has had an old building converted into a conference centre, in honour of Nicomachus of Gerasa (now Jerash). Among other things Nicomachus is credited with discovering that the sum of the first n cubes is equal to the square of the sum of the first n numbers.
